We are delighted to announce that the 5th Annual Walkathon officially kicked off on May 3! This marks the beginning of an inspiring journey to support our cause, and we couldn’t be more excited to have you join us.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has already registered and is committed to making this year’s Walkathon a success. Your enthusiasm, passion, and dedication inspire us every step of the way. Together, we are making strides toward a brighter future!

Join us at FBMF's 5th Annual 5K Walkathon! One week to walk, run or bike in support of education. Register for the #walk2educate event and take the 5K (3.1 mile) challenge to help us make a difference in the lives of hundreds of young Ethiopians who benefit from university scholarships and vocational training through the Fitsum Bahru Memorial Foundation. Your registration fee ($35 for adults and $20 for participants under 18 years old) includes an FBMF 5K Walkathon T-shirt.

TO PARTICIPATE:
- Register for the #Walk2Educate Annual Walkathon.
- Complete a 5K (3.1 miles) walk/bike/run at your convenience -- between May 3 and May 11, 2025.
- Celebrate your accomplishment! (Snap pictures or videos and share it with us via email at events@fitsumbahrufoundation.org; or post it on social media and tag our social media accounts on Facebook or Instagram.
HOW CAN YOU HELP US MAKE THIS A BIGGER SUCCESS?
- Grab your friends and family to join you, and help us raise additional funds.

FBMF is a 100% volunteer-run organization.
All proceeds are allocated to support scholarships and sponsorships for students in Ethiopia.
* Register by April 13th to guarantee your t-shirt delivery by May 3rd. If you register after April 13th you can still participate in the event but will likely receive your commemorative walkathon t-shirt beyond the event dates.
