The Fitsum Bahru Memorial Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships, which are awarded based on academic excellence and financial need. The Foundation's Board of Directors work directly with the universities to identify deserving candidates and all nominees are reviewed by committee before finalists are selected. Since 2016, the Foundation has grown its support exponentially, increasing the number of scholars from eighteen to now ninety students studying at either Addis Ababa University's College of Natural and Computational Sciences or Wollo University's College of Informatics. An additional thirty-five students, studying at various campuses across Ethiopia, are also receiving scholarships through the Foundation's partnership with Hope Enterprises. It is our desire to continue to increase our numbers each year so that more young people can benefit from the financial assistance we provide to help them succeed in their pursuit of higher education.
