The Fitsum Bahru Memorial Foundation was launched on June 5, 2016 during the one year memorial of the passing of Fitsum Bahru. The Fitsum Bahru Memorial Foundation was Incorporated on May 13, 2016 by the State Corporation Commission of Virginia and approved as a 501(c)(3) corporation on October 26, 2016 by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for exemption from Federal Income Tax. The Foundation is a non-profit, non-stock organization, and is organized exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes. All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
